REHOMED:
Meet Tessie and Daisy (adopted April 2013):
Tessie and Daisy are Thumper's sisters (see below) and are hoping to find their forever home. They are neutered and fully vaccinated for myxomatosis and VHD. They are approximately 6 months old. They are both lovely, gentle, friendly girls who love to play together. They are looking for a forever home together with plenty of space to run and play. They are probably Lion Head crosses, and as a result of their fluffy coat will need regular grooming.
Here is their page on BARC's website: http://barnsleyanimalrescue.org.uk/animals/tessie-and-daisy/
Meet Thumper: (ADOPTED JAN 13)
Meet Thumper! He's a lovely fuzzy fellow, probably a lion head cross. He's approximately 5 months old, neutered and vaccinated. He's looking for a forever home with plenty of space to play and a friend or friends to snuggle and play with. He's friendly boy and will need regular grooming to ensure his fuzzy coat doesn't become matted. Thumper was the result of an unplanned mating and his previous owners did not feel able to keep him.
You can view him on BARC's website here: Thumper's page
Meet Lenny: *ADOPTED WITH TILLY 2012*
Lenny was originally fostered on behalf of Woodview Lodge and adopted, but he has been returned through no fault of his own, and is hoping for another chance to find a forever home. Sophie from Woodview Lodge rescue said: "Lenny came in through a friend of the rescue, her 'friend' got bored of him didn't have the time or money for him (they thought he was a girl) and asked her to take him on. Sadly she has no room as she has two of our buns and brought him to us. He was underweight, scared, and had long over-grown nails. He's a charmer and just so friendly and in the right home will come on great." We think Lenny is around 1 year old. Lenny has been neutered and sucessfully bonded with Tilly (see below). They are looking for a forever home together. If you are interested in rehoming Lenny and Tilly, they are being rehomed through Barnsley Animal Rescue Charity (BARC) you can find out more on their website.
Meet Tilly: *ADOPTED WITH LENNY 2012*
Tilly was originally fostered on behalf of Woodview Lodge and adopted, but she has been returned through no fault of her own, and is hoping for another chance to find a forever home. Sophie from Woodview Lodge Rescue said: "Tilly is 1 year and 3 months approx, and had been at the rescue for 7 months. She came in from a lady who had several rabbits, and came with her brother as she didn't have time for her. She was underweight and scared of people, after so long in rescue she's come on loads and just loves people and been loved." She has been neutered and successfully bonded with Lenny (see above). They are now looking for a forever home together. If you are interested in rehoming Lenny and Tilly, they are being rehomed through Barnsley Animal Rescue Charity (BARC) you can find out more on their website.
Here they are together enjoying some spring greens:
Meet Willow: *ADOPTED - Willow will be staying with me*
Willow was rescued from a breeder in Leeds who had advertised her on a free advertising site, after mating her with Woody (see below). We felt this was incredibly irresponsible and feared she may fall into the wrong hands. Willow is approximately 6 months old, and is a Netherland Dwarf. Willow gave birth to 2 kits on 22 May 2012. She will be available for rehoming once her kits have been weaned (approx aged 8 weeks) and she has been neutered. Hopefully she paired with either Woody or one of her babies.
Meet Woody: *ADOPTED - Woody will be staying with me*
Woody was rescued from the same breeder as Willow (see above). Woody is also a Netherland Dwarf and we believe he is around 18 months old. He had terribly overgrown teeth when he arrived and wouldn't eat, so we rushed him to the vet for a dental and castration, and now he's doing brilliantly. He's learning to enjoy food again, and is particularly fond of curly kale and spring greens. We are unsure at this stage if Woody will require ongoing dental care.
SPECIAL APPEAL: Woodview Lodge Rescue are running a special appeal for Woody and Willow, to raise money to cover their vet costs and neutering for their kits. You can more out more about how you can help here: http://www.wwodviewlodge.co.uk/urgent-appeal.html
Meet Snowie! *ADOPTED*
*GREAT NEWS SNOWIE HAS BEEN ADOPTED AND SUCCESSFULLY BONDED WITH A WIFEY BUNNY CALLED BELLA!*
HE'S SETTLED IN REALLY WELL AT HIS NEW HOME, AND IS DOING GREAT!
Snowie is a gorgeous himalayan coloured Netherland Dwarf rabbit that I am fostering for Stogden Lops and Cavies Rabbit and Guinea Pig Rescue. He is around 8-12 months of age, and an absolute darling who loves a snuggle.
Here he is meeting my two rabbits Peppermint and Chamomile:
Snowie will be staying in my boarding lodge until he finds a home. I'm hoping to be able to bond with with a female rescue bunny so he can find a new home with a friend to keep him company.
This is Snowie's story, from Sophie who runs Stogden Lops and Cavies:
"Snowie is 8-12 months old and as you know a Himalayan Netherland Dwarf and absoloutly gorgeous and very very friendly. He came from a local 'rescue' although the lady who re-homed him could no longer keep him and so he came to us. He's in great health, teeth and eyes are great too. He had very bad over grown nails when he came in, we've cut them down and after using the runs they're doing well. After neutering and vaccinating he'll be ready to find a new home, he's wonderful with children and other animals too."
